DIM

DIM invites readers to quietly witness the unfolding challenges of climate change and the profound effects of rising heat on both the Earth and our bodies. This book emphasizes the urgent need to mitigate excess heat in our shared environments.

The title, DIM, alludes to the concept of global dimming—a phenomenon linked to industrial growth. Pollutants and aerosols from manufacturing have blanketed the atmosphere, effectively “dimming” the Sun’s radiation and temporarily masking the full force of global warming. Through this metaphor, Dim reflects our current environmental crisis while also contemplating the potential for transformation and renewal.

DIM, ultimately, calls for action and optimism. It encourages readers to discover a spark of hope and embrace the possibility of change, even in the face of daunting challenges. Though the world may feel dim, it
is not yet dark.
