Collision Path /Kokkupõrke Rada
Collision Path/Kokkupõrke Rada is a book that explores motifs of belief systems, their embeddedness in communities, and how concepts shift through retelling. The work explores a journey in the process of designing meaning, both individually and collectively, and how popular beliefs are systems of navigation. Composite images of offerings, community, natural patterns, and site-specific locations build on the meaning of correlationism through dissected language. The project philosophically explores nature and spirit as one. Collision Path blends, shifts, and remixes eco-knowledge between the Appalachian region and Estonia. The book was produced during a three-month research and production residency at TYPA Centre in Tartu, Estonia.
